Fyrakk feels like one of the hardest bosses of all time in WoW. A look at the numbers now shows… the feeling is not deceptive.
“WoW has become much too easy”, “everything used to be really difficult” – sentences like this have been heard in the WoW community for what feels like 15 years. Since the start of WoW Classic, we have known that the difficulty in the previous World of Warcraft did not come so much from the mechanics, but rather from organizing 40 players and keeping them on task.
If you try to look at it objectively, WoW is (buy now ) Over time it has become increasingly difficult – but at the same time easier. The fights became so difficult and complex at the highest level of difficulty that players needed tons of add-ons, which Blizzard then wanted to slow down again.
At the same time, it has never been so easy to get to those levels of difficulty. Thanks to catch-up gear, no grind and quick equipping via Mythic Plus dungeons, everyone can quickly start the mythical raids.

The final boss of WoW Dragonflight was extremely difficult
Now that the third season of Dragonflight is coming to an end, what many WoW players have been feeling for a long time can also be proven with numbers. The current Amirdrassil raid and its final boss Fyrakk have been the hardest thing WoW has to offer for many years.
All you need to do is take a quick look at the kill numbers of the current final boss. If you compare these with the bosses of the past, things look bad for Fyrakk – or actually very good, because he was able to do much more to the players than other bosses.
Currently, almost a thousand guilds have been able to kill the final boss. Compared to previous raids, this is surprisingly little. Less than the Jailer, N’Zoth or Sylvanas himself. Strictly speaking, Fyrakk is the toughest raid boss since Queen Azshara in BfA’s Eternal Palace – and that was almost five years ago.
The third season isn’t quite over yet, but unless a miracle happens, the numbers won’t change much. At least not enough to drastically change the situation.
What shouldn’t be overlooked when you look at it is the fact that in front of Fyrakk, Tindral, is also one of the hardest penultimate bosses of all time. As a result, significantly fewer guilds were able to compete against Fyrakk than might otherwise have been the case. And before anyone shouts that there are fewer guilds on the move – the kill numbers of the front bosses are similar to previous years.
