The Samurai Adventure Rise of the Ronin is full of tasks, missions and intense duels. Most of the activities are marked on the map. But there are also a number of secret bosses in the game that are not shown on the map.

One of them is strikingly reminiscent of William, the main character from Nioh, which was also developed by Team Ninja. We’ll show you where you can find all the secret bosses. On the one hand it’s worth it because of the entertaining fights, but on the other hand you get what you get in return special armor and fighting stances.

Rise of the Ronin: This is how you find the secret bosses

As mentioned, the secret opponents are not marked on the map. You can still find them relatively easily if you know what to look for. They all expect you in part correctly well-hidden caves.

You can find the way to the respective cave entrance by following certain trees that are decorated with a thick, white rope. They can often be seen from a distance and lead you straight to your destination. Here some examples:

We begin in the first region of Rise of the Ronin, Yokohama. There are three secret bosses hiding here.

You can find the opponent “Expelled Student” in the Shibo region in the north of Yokohama. Head west and you will find a lake. There you should find it easy to spot the three trees decorated with the rope. Below the middle tree you will find the cave entrance.

In the southwest of Yokohama you will find the “Martial Heir”. This one is hiding in the Maita region. You should be able to see the two trees from the cliff. The cave entrance is by the second tree and is blocked by a barricade. Use your grappling hook to throw the barrel and reveal the entrance.

The third secret boss in Yokohama is the “fugitive” that you can find in the Hiranuma-Shinden region finds. This is located directly beneath the Shibo region in the north of the map. If you played the first Nioh from Team Ninja, the blue-eyed samurai should look suspiciously familiar. This is obviously an homage to the main character William (even if he lived much earlier), even his attacks are the same.

The secret boss is in a cave in the Shiba region hidden in the south of Edo. This is located on the eastern edge of the map. From the beach you can see the big tree with the rope, the cave is directly underneath.

The next secret boss is the “Sword Fighting Criminal” who is in the Senzoku region waiting for you in the very north of Edo. It’s best to go to the easternmost cutting banner in the region. This is located on a tower from which you can see the decorated trees to the southwest. To get to the boss, you have to dive a bit in the cave.

You will also meet the third secret boss of Edo in the north, in the Kanda region. The cave entrance is right next to the river, below the marked tree.
